Sips of Inspiration: an Interview with Misty Olsen
After a bit of a break, Sips of Inspiration is back!
Today I’m so excited to introduce you to Misty Olsen.
Misty is an artist who’s working toward her dream of creating children’s books.
She’s honing and developing her skills and savoring the process.
She is also passionate about encouraging and inspiring others.
So much so that she’s created a free online event to do just that.
Start Your Art is two weeks of interviews and art lessons.
Starting next week, over 14 days 30 artists will be sharing their experiences and talents to help you take your first steps to becoming an artist or returning to art you once knew and deeply loved.
Misty created Start Your Art to be more than just an opportunity to learn. During this challenging year of isolation and social distancing, Start Your Art was developed to help create community.
Misty’s intentions for the event resonate so deeply with me and I’m grateful to be involved. Other artists include Juliet Meeks, Louise Gale and Sandra Bowers, just to name a few.
Chatting with Misty brought back the joys and challenges of taking the first steps of my creative journey and I hope that hearing her thoughts will inspire and encourage you, too.

Sessions are released daily with the closing session going up on October 6th. Then all of the sessions will be available to watch until October 20.
