Watercolor Vining Orange Nasturtiums Botanical Fine Art Print

Watercolor Vining Orange Nasturtiums Botanical Fine Art Print
from $15.00
This archival watercolor print reproduces my original watercolor painting of two vining nasturtium stems in slightly different colors. Both stems have orange flowers. One stem has darker flowers and leaves than the other.
Nasturtiums are some of my very favorite flowers to grow in my garden and to paint.
Do you remember nasturtiums in the gardens of your childhood? After the rain the leaves (reminiscent of lily pads a delight in itself) collect drops of water that glitter like diamonds. Try to pick up those diamonds and they transform back into water. Only the leaves know the magic to hold onto the jewels.
The flowers are jewel-like themselves. Bright and colorful with an intriguing shape. Hummingbirds adore them and added to salads they bring, spiciness, color and a playful elegance.
So much magic in a humble, common garden plant!
In this painting the two stems wind delicately around one another. It's beautiful and joyful and will bring color and cheer to your days.
Framed and hung on your wall this print will whisper its magic to you, reminding you to always find joy in the ordinary.
I take great care with the whole print-making process, from scanning the image to resizing it to checking the colors and printing test prints, it's a long process that yields a beautiful result. The velvet fine art paper is textured and matte made from 100% cotton fibers. The texture is somewhere between that of cold pressed and hot pressed watercolor paper, a little less tooth than the former and a little more tooth than the latter. It reproduces my paintings beautifully.
The prints measure 4 inches by 6 inches, 5 inches by 7 inches or 8 inches by 10 inches.
I sign the front of each print with my initials (just as I do my paintings).
Every order is lovingly gift wrapped with a handwritten note. You can see an example in the last photo.
Note: Image copyright and reproduction rights are not included with the print.
Print is unframed and not matted.
