Colorful Watercolor Coneflowers Botanical Fine Art Print

Colorful Watercolor Coneflowers Botanical Fine Art Print

from $15.00

This archival botanical art print of a bunch of Echinacea or coneflowers in pinks, orange, rust and yellow is a giclee reproduction of my original watercolor painting. It is available in three sizes: 4 inches by 6 inches, 5 inches by 7 inches or 8 inches by 10 inches. Just choose the size you want at checkout.

The echinacea or coneflower is one of those flowers that is the epitome of summer. The wild form is called "purple" and is more of a pink color, but the garden version has been bred to be many colors.

No matter the color, these flowers have a pollen-filled center "cone" surrounded by a flutter of petals. It's irresistible to butterflies and bees. The plant is a rough and hardy as native prairie plant are and yet they are elegant, too.

My original painting depicts five color versions of the flower: dark pink, light pink, yellow, orange and a dark rusty reddish orange.

Framed and hung in your home it will remind you of joyful summer days, of buzzing bees and sunshine. It would also make a lovely gift for a gardener, flower lover (or yourself!).

Every order is lovingly gift wrapped with a handwritten note. You can see an example in the last photo.

I take great care with the whole print-making process, from scanning the image to resizing it to checking the colors and printing test prints, it's a long process that yields a beautiful result. The velvet fine art paper is textured and matte made from 100% cotton fibers. The texture is somewhere between that of cold pressed and hot pressed watercolor paper, a little less tooth than the former and a little more tooth than the latter. It reproduces my paintings beautifully.
